Loyalty Programme Terms

MixTape'26 loyalty points are promotional rewards issued and administered by The IT Laaitie. Points have no cash value, may not be sold or transferred, and may only be used for benefits expressly announced by us.

Ten points are awarded for each confirmed completed MixTape purchase. A verified Tape in Hand photo may earn an additional ten points once per completed order. Monthly awards may be made for approved submissions, creativity, community response, Top 10 performance and special events.

We may correct errors, reverse points linked to cancelled or refunded orders, and deduct points after a documented finding of spam, duplicate claims, manipulated voting, inappropriate content or another proven breach. A thumbs-down vote alone never removes loyalty points.

The first eligible member to reach 10,000 verified points qualifies for the gift described in the applicable announcement, subject to its stated deadline and availability. Material changes will not unfairly remove benefits already earned.

Point Event and Competition Rules

Every event has its own reference, start and end time, available points, prizes, eligibility requirements, judging or draw method, tie-break process, winner announcement date and prize claim deadline. Event-specific rules prevail if they conflict with general promotional wording.

Employees, administrators, service providers involved in selecting winners, and their immediate families may be excluded where stated. No winner must pay to receive a prize or satisfy a new condition not disclosed before entry.

Where an event is a promotional competition, it must be conducted and recorded in accordance with applicable South African consumer law. Final legal approval and any required independent oversight remain human responsibilities.

Sponsor Terms

A sponsor must confirm its legal identity, prize, value, availability, delivery responsibility, permitted logo and image use, and event dates in writing. No sponsor receives participant personal information unless the participant separately and expressly consents.

Sponsors warrant that supplied names, logos, images and prizes may lawfully be used. The organiser does not guarantee sales, followers, reach or commercial results. Prize substitutions require equivalent value, written approval and clear notice.

Privacy Policy

We process names, contact details, order references, payment proof metadata, playlist submissions, votes, photos, consent choices and points records only for orders, verification, rewards, events, support, fraud prevention and consented marketing.

We limit access, use reasonable security safeguards and retain information only as required for operations, disputes and law. Promotional competition records may require longer retention. You may request access, correction, objection or deletion where legally available by contacting us.

Marketing consent is optional and may be withdrawn. Sponsors do not receive personal information without separate permission.

Photo and Publicity Consent

Submitting a Tape in Hand photo for verification does not grant permission to publish it. Verification use and publicity use are separate choices.

Public website or social-media use requires an optional, specific consent. Refusing publicity does not remove a valid photo bonus. A winner may decline publicity or marketing participation. A parent or legal guardian must provide consent where required for a minor.

Website Terms of Use

Use this website lawfully and do not manipulate votes, impersonate others, upload harmful material, infringe copyright or interfere with the service. Third-party music platforms remain subject to their own terms; The IT Laaitie is not endorsed by or affiliated with those platforms unless expressly stated.

Information is provided in good faith, but availability, event dates and product details may be corrected where an obvious error exists. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Sales, Delivery, Returns and Refunds

An order request is not final until availability, specifications, total price, production time and delivery are confirmed. Payment should only be made against the confirmed order reference.

Delivery estimates, costs, customisation limits and any special-order restrictions must be disclosed before final confirmation. Returns, refunds, cancellations and quality remedies remain subject to applicable consumer law and the nature of personalised goods.

Complaints and Disputes

Contact us first with your name, order or event reference, the decision disputed and supporting information. We will acknowledge the complaint, preserve relevant records and provide a reasoned response.

Point deductions and disqualifications require a recorded reason. A participant may request review by an administrator not responsible for the original decision where reasonably possible.
