Terms & Conditions

The IT Laaitie supplies personalised smart products, NFC and QR-enabled products, digital products and related IT services, including MixTape'26, Tag-You-R-IT!, SmartApparel and accessories.

By placing an order, you confirm that your selections, contact and delivery details, and customisation instructions are correct. An order is confirmed only once specifications, availability, the full price and payment have been confirmed.

Many products are personalised or made to order. Production may begin only after payment confirmation. Product images are illustrative and minor variations may occur.

You confirm that you have permission to use artwork, trademarks, music links or other protected material you supply. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel or change an order. We will make reasonable efforts to assist where production or personalisation has not started.

Change-of-mind cancellation or return may not be possible after a personalised product has entered production, subject to applicable consumer law. Original delivery charges are generally not refundable after dispatch, except where required by law or where The IT Laaitie made the error.

If an item is defective, damaged, materially different from the confirmed order or incorrectly supplied, contact us with the order reference and supporting photographs. Where required, we will offer an appropriate repair, replacement or refund and communicate reasonable return arrangements.

Approved refunds are processed using an appropriate payment method. PayFast and financial-institution processing times may apply.

Privacy Policy

We may process your name, contact details, delivery information, order and customisation details, transaction information and support messages to fulfil orders, communicate, arrange delivery, prevent fraud and keep required records.

Payment details may be processed by PayFast or another authorised payment provider. We do not ask for card PINs or online-banking passwords. Marketing is optional and requires appropriate consent.

We use reasonable safeguards and retain information only as long as reasonably required. Contact us to request access, correction or another legally available privacy action.

Shipping & Delivery Policy

South African delivery costs a flat R60 per order. South African delivery is free when one order contains five or more qualifying MixTape'26 products. Charms, SmartApparel, tags and other products do not count toward the five-MixTape threshold unless a promotion expressly says otherwise.

International shipping is calculated separately for each order based on the destination, parcel size and weight, and available courier service. We will confirm the international shipping amount before payment or dispatch.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees and destination-country charges unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

Production and delivery estimates depend on the product, quantity and destination. Courier delays, customs, weather, public holidays and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery dates.

You must provide complete and accurate delivery information. Additional delivery or re-delivery costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information are for the customer's account.

Goods and Services Offered

MixTape'26 products are personalised physical music-themed smart products that connect compatible devices to a chosen digital playlist or music experience using supported NFC and/or QR functionality.

Tag-You-R-IT! includes personalised NFC and/or QR-enabled tags, charms and related smart products. SmartApparel includes customised garments with supported NFC and/or QR functionality.

Digital configuration, smart-product support and selected IT services may also be offered. Product availability, specifications and production capacity are confirmed per order.
